Coptic History Mobile Application
A solo end-to-end iOS app built to make Coptic Orthodox history easy to explore and revisit — designed, engineered, and shipped independently in Swift.
Motivation
Existing resources were either scattered across the web or formatted for desktop — nothing was designed for casual mobile reading.
I wanted a structured, distraction-free reference I could return to repeatedly without losing my place.
Building it myself was an opportunity to ship a complete iOS product solo, from design to App Store.
Solution
Designed a content-first navigation structure that lets users browse by topic and return to sections quickly.
Kept the UI minimal so the content stays the focus — no social features, no noise.
Owned the entire product lifecycle: content architecture, UX design, Swift implementation, and release.
Key Engineering Decisions
Structured content storage to scale as material is added, avoiding a rewrite when scope grows.
Prioritized a complete, polished core experience over a broad feature set — shipped something real rather than something half-finished.
Applied the same production discipline to a personal project: defined scope, deliberate architecture, clean release.
Outcome
A fully shipped iOS app demonstrating product ownership, UX thinking, and the ability to take something from idea to release independently.
